On Friday, Globo Brasil inaugurated a PV module factory in the the city of Valinhos, in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Representatives of the regional government and Brazil's National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) joined the company for the ceremony. The factory has the capacity to produce 2,000 modules daily, or 180 MW annually. Including both direct and indirect employment, the factory is estimated to provide jobs for 240 persons.
