Condor and Thomas Cook Airlines UK Expand Their Long-Haul Fleets / Customers Benefit From Extra Flights to Dream Destinations Worldwide

FRANKFURT, GERMANY -- (Marketwired) -- 01/21/16 -- Four new long-haul planes will expand Condor's and Thomas Cook Airlines UK's fleet from May 2016. Three Boeing 767-300ERs will be added to Condor's current 13 airplanes of this type. Thomas Cook Airlines UK is also counting on a reliable model with an additional Airbus A330-200: This new arrival is the seventh A330, which will fly Thomas Cook Airlines UK passengers to the most beautiful destinations worldwide.

"We are delighted about the growth of our long-haul fleet, it shows that we are successful in the market and continue to grow," said Ralf Teckentrup, Chief Commercial Officer of Thomas Cook Group Airlines and CEO of Condor. "Thanks to these airplanes we will be able to win over more passengers with our consistently outstanding service and with the high quality of products we offer. With these additional planes we will fly to established destinations more frequently and will offer our customers entirely new ones, such as Austin, Texas, which we will newly incorporate into Condor's timetable from summer 2016."

The first Boeing 767 will be used by Condor for long-haul flights as early as May 2016. The two remaining machines will follow in July. One Boeing 767 has 30 Business, 35 Premium Class and 180 Economy Class seats, the travel classes in the other two new airplanes are divided so that there are 18 seats in Business Class, 35 in Premium Class and 206 in Economy. All seats have a personal touchscreen monitor with access to numerous entertainment features.

Additionally, in May, Thomas Cook UK will add an Airbus A330, equipped with 49 seats in Premium Economy and 265 in Economy Class. All passengers here will also have access to the Video-on-demand entertainment system. With the new equipment, which is already the seventh A330, the Manchester-based airline continues to expand its long-haul business and offers Los Angeles, Boston and Cape Town as new destinations this year.

Both Condor and Thomas Cook UK have been introducing these plane types for years and have extensive experience in their operation and maintenance. These new airplanes can therefore be integrated quickly into ongoing flight operations, strengthening the Group's long-haul network.
