BayWa r.e.'s subsidiary BayWa r.e. Solar Systems LLC, a US solar wholesale distributor, has further strengthened its executive team with the recent addition of solar industry veteran Daniel Marino as its Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). In this role, Marino will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategy, with an emphasis on driving business growth, market share, and market entry into new channels and geographies.
Mr. Marino remarked on his new opportunity with BayWa r.e., stating, "I have long respected BayWa r.e. for the quality of its team and its client focus, as well as the company's emphasis on win-win partnerships through the entire value chain."
Furthermore, Marino will take ownership of the interface between the company's product and service offering and the client, ensuring cross-organizational alignment to achieve BayWa r.e.'s strategic commercial objectives in the US and Latin America.

Prior to joining BayWa r.e., Mr. Marino served as Senior Vice President, Sales at Yingli Green Energy Americas where he led the development and execution of the commercial strategy for the US market. Mr. Marino co-founded DC Power Systems, a leading solar energy products distribution firm in 2001. As Executive Vice President, he directed all aspects of strategy, sales, marketing, business development, engineering and supply chain activities, helping transform the company into the largest solar distributor in the Americas, with more than 1,000 dealers across 15 countries. Following the acquisition of the firm by a multinational in 2009 and subsequent rebranding as Soligent, Marino served as COO and Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing until early 2013.
Prior to a career in solar, Mr. Marino worked as a strategy consultant with clients ranging from technology start-ups to Fortune Global 500 firms. He graduated with an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in 2000.
