Hamburg, 23 September 2016. The wine trading group Hawesko Holding AG (HAW, HAWG.DE, DE0006042708) will acquire just under 66% of Munich-based E-Commerce Werke GmbH, operator of the online marketplace WirWinzer (www.wirwinzer.de) effective 1 October 2016. WirWinzer is one of the most innovative and fastest-growing online marketplaces for German wines. WirWinzer has sales in the single-digit million euro range and offers its customers access to a product range of more than 10,000 wines from Germany and, as a genuine marketplace, direct contact to the wineries as well. The customers thus benefit from all advantages of a modern online platform and still get their wines delivered directly from the winegrowers themselves.

The purchase agreement stipulates that the founding partners and managing directors will retain minority interests in WirWinzer and continue to support the company with their knowledge and expertise in the future as well.
