webMethods Achieves Drummond Group Certification for UCCnet 2.3 Interoperability

FAIRFAX, Va., May 25 /PRNewswire/ -- webMethods, Inc. , the industry's first Web services infrastructure company, today announced that the webMethods Item Synchronization solution successfully completed the most recent UCCnet 2.3 interoperability testing and is now certified by Drummond Group. Drummond Group, Inc. is a vendor-neutral consultancy that performs objective interoperability testing on behalf of UCCnet. webMethods has consistently achieved Drummond Group certification for every version of UCCnet since becoming a UCCnet Preferred Alliance Partner in 2000.

UCCnet 2.3 is the latest version of the organization's universal foundation for standards-based e-commerce. With this latest certification, webMethods customers will now have the most up-to-date features that UCCnet offers, including catalog item subscription, item link, request for catalog item notification, pricing and price brackets. UCCnet 2.3 has also been updated for hard-line class extension attributes.

"This latest certification ensures that our customers have the best-in- class solution to seamlessly integrate their back-end systems with services offered by UCCnet," said Kareen Renaudin, vice president, Industry Solutions, webMethods, Inc. "webMethods' standards-based Item Synchronization solution allows our customers to rapidly integrate with UCCnet and enables them to benefit from secure, cost-effective, real-time information exchange."

As a UCCnet Preferred Alliance Partner, webMethods provides integrated collaborative commerce solutions to the expanding UCCnet community. The UCCnet alliance program certifies partners to provide best-in-class knowledge, resources and tools that enable UCCnet subscribers to implement GLOBALregistry and data synchronization services quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

About UCCnet

The UCCnet registry improves the accuracy of an organization's supply chain product and location information. Suppliers provide product, location, and trading partner information to the UCCnet registry. UCCnet data synchronization services then check the data for compliance to EAN.UCC standards and validate the data with demand side partners, ensuring that all trading partners are using identical, updated, EAN.UCC standards-compliant data.
