Evaluation based on both 'ability to execute' and 'completeness of vision'
Cordys Inc., today announced that its Composite Application Framework technology has been positioned in the Visionary Quadrant of Gartner's latest "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise-Scope Application Platform Suites (E-APS), 3Q05" published on July 20, 2005(a).
Gartner's Magic Quadrant for the E-APS sector evaluates 14 software vendors on their ability to offer multipurpose platform technologies to the enterprise, not just tools for one enterprise project at a time. An APS is defined as 'a type of middleware that acts as a 'superplatform' to meet most of the diverse requirements of modern business software in one integrated offering'. An E-APS is defined as 'an APS that enables IT organizations to tackle a succession of multiple projects of different types." According to Gartner, vendors listed in the Visionary Quadrant have a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimizing service delivery.
Gartner estimates that by 2010, more than 75% of mainstream enterprises will invest in integrated multipurpose technology platforms aiming to avoid the complexity of best of breed systems integration.
"We are delighted that Gartner has evaluated Cordys in terms of its ability to execute as well as for the completeness of its technology vision." said Frits Felix, President of Cordys EMEA. "We believe that Gartner's recognition of the E-APS sector and its placement of Cordys within the Visionary Quadrant is confirmation of our innovative and forward thinking approach to the complex application and integration issues facing today's enterprise."
Cordys' Composite Application Framework enables companies to build their own Service Oriented Architecture. By combining a highly scalable ESB, with a complete Business Process Management suite in a single solution, Cordys provides a flexible and responsive solution that enables enterprises to ensure their existing IT assets are maximized and that their IT systems support their business needs, both now and in the future.
