HANNOVER, Germany, March 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lucent Technologies today announced that Enterprise Digital Architects ("ENTERPRISE"), Italy's leading information and communications technology (ICT) consulting and integration company, will deploy Lucent's enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution to offer advanced services to its 4.000 business and government customers.
ENTERPRISE will use the Lucent solution, part of Lucent's Accelerate(TM) Next-Generation Communications portfolio, to offer "Comunic@" - its suite of hosted, high-value communications services launched this month. The Lucent solution enables a range of VoIP business services such as IP advanced PABX services, voice virtual private networks (VPN) and multimedia services for local office workers, "road warriors," tele-workers and remote office workers. It brings together today's traditional business services and new IP services, including web-based features, on a next-generation multimedia network.
ENTERPRISE also will offer the Lucent solution to customers that prefer to deploy the solution in their networks as a premises-based implementation.
