Credit Suisse today announced the appointment of C. Kim
Goodwin as a Managing Director and Head of Equities for Asset
Management. In her new role, Ms. Goodwin will be responsible for the
management of all Credit Suisse equity products in the Americas,
Europe and Asia Pacific, as well as all multi-country equity products.
Ms. Goodwin was most recently at State Street Research Management, where she was Chief Investment Officer of Equities and a member of the Management Committee. In her role there, she managed teams of portfolio managers, analysts, traders and quantitative personnel, and during her tenure effected significant performance improvement across all equity products. Ms. Goodwin began her distinguished career nearly twenty years ago and brings to this role considerable experience in both portfolio management and team leadership.
David Blumer, Chief Executive Officer of the Asset Management division said, "I am very pleased that Kim is joining our team. She is a highly skilled professional with a strong track record for providing value to clients, and I look forward to her playing a lead role in leveraging our global platform and local expertise in equity markets around the world."
Ms. Goodwin said, "Credit Suisse's evolving market position makes this a unique time to join the Bank. I look forward to leveraging Credit Suisse's global platform to bring investment solutions that serve our clients' needs and investment objectives."
Ms. Goodwin replaces Mark Burgess who, in May of this year, was appointed Executive Vice Chairman and Head of Asset Management for the EMEA region, with overall responsibility for the further development of the Asset Management business in that region.
Ms. Goodwin will join Credit Suisse's Asset Management Management Committee, will be based in New York initially, and will transfer to London once the necessary approvals are in place. She will report to David Blumer.
