About the HOYLE brand
Over 200 years ago Edmond Hoyle was the first person to fully document how card games should be played - essentially creating the first globally-recognized 'Authorized Card Game Rules'. Edmond was an English writer, born in 1672, living most of his adult life in London where he was a barrister. During his time there he began tutoring the 'upper classes' in the game of Whist and subsequently published a pamphlet on the subject.
