EndyMed Medical has uniquely documented the advantages of skin impedance measurements as a necessary component in the delivery of predictable results when using radiofrequency energy in aesthetic medicine procedures. Among the key highlights of this paper are the following points:
1. More than 6,000 unique skin impedance measurements on 22 patients were
taken to substantiate the conclusions of this peer reviewed paper.
2. Data showed an average session impedance range was 215-584 Ohms with an
average of 369 Ohms. Analysis of individual pulses (total of 6,000
readings) showed a significant decrease in impedance during the pulse.
These findings validate the expected differences in skin impedance
between individual patients and in the same patients during the treatment
pulse.
3. The clinical study was based on 30 patients whose results showed a high
predictability of efficacy (86.7% of patients had good results or better
at 3 months follow-up and a decrease of 2 or more grades in Fitzpatrick's
wrinkle scale).
