Rajant Corporation, the pioneer of Kinetic Mesh Networks and provider of pervasive, multi-frequency wireless solutions, today announced firmware upgrades and BC|Commander™ Version 10.24. BC|Commander is Rajant's management and monitoring application for BreadCrumb®-based kinetic mesh networks.
The upgrades include added support for new BreadCrumb models utilizing a mix of licensed and unlicensed radio frequencies; improved support for voice and tracking applications on MSHA-certified BreadCrumb model UX2400; and more diagnostic and configuration capabilities for all BreadCrumbs.
"As the features and capabilities of BreadCrumb networking nodes increase, so must the functionality of BC|Commander," noted Rajant Founder and CEO Robert Schena. "These upgrades ensure a high level of both device-level and overall network monitoring and management."
Available for both Microsoft Windows and Linux workstations, BC|Commander provides a global view of the network with an easy-to-use graphical interface. It features a secure, encrypted link to each BreadCrumb in the network, point-and-click configuration, real-time network topology view, ability to remotely update BreadCrumb firmware and have control of all other configurable BreadCrumb features including radio settings, mesh encryption/authentication, VLANs and InstaMesh® settings.
InstaMesh is an advanced protocol developed by Rajant that allows for continuous and instantaneous routing of wireless and wired connections. It enables complete network mobility, robust fault tolerance, high throughput and low latency, with zero maintenance and administration. The BreadCrumbs combine InstaMesh with support for standards in wireless access, security, network monitoring, QoS and more.
