Ruben Sanchez Cebollada of Spain has won the second live Unibet Open main event of 2011 taking down EUR145,000 for his victory at Gran Casino, Barcelona this weekend.
Cebollada was the last person standing of the 387 entrants in the EUR1,650 buy in event which created a total prize pool of EUR551,500. He took over three hours heads up to defeat his opponent Davor Pavic of Sweden.
The Spaniard started the heads up dual as chip leader but Pavic battled back to reach parity then take the lead. However Cebollada would prove no push over and he surged back into the lead. By the time blinds reached 80,000/160,000 only two flops were seen in 25 minutes of poker.
The final hand came when Cebollada was just marginal chip leader but holding Ad 9 h and his opponent waking up with Ac 7c they both got their chips in with Pavic behind and facing elimination unless he could improve.
The board fell Qh 10h 9d As 4 s and Cebollada was crowned Unibet Open Barcelona champion 2011.

The next Unibet Open events takes place online at Unibet.com on July 3, 2011 at 19:00 CET and August 14, 2011.
These EUR300 + EUR20 buy in events have a guaranteed prize pool of EUR25,000 and players start with 10,000 in chips and a one hour clock. The top 10 in each Unibet Open Online tournament will get points for the Unibet Open 2011 season leader board.
Qualification for the first Unibet Open Online (UOO) is now underway at Unibet.com:
Mon-Wed 22:00 CET: EUR55+5 UOO final satellite (use UO ticket or cash to
buy-in)
Thu-Sun 22:00 CET: EUR100+10 UOO final satellite (use UO ticket or cash to

Eight packages are guaranteed each Sunday night at 20:30 CET in the EUR255 + EUR20 freezeout while Tuesday at 20:30 CET sees one package guaranteed in a EUR100 + EUR10.
