Perrier-Jouet was the official Champagne chosen for the royal wedding reception, held on the beautiful terrace of the Opera Garnier and crowned by a sumptuous dinner by Michelin-starred Chef Alain Ducasse and the Monte Carlo SBM teams. The 500 distinguished guests, including European royalty, Heads of State and other notable personalities, enjoyed the remarkable Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque 2002 vintage which rounded off the dinner with delicate white chocolate covered wedding cake, and was described by Hervé Deschamps as the "ultimate expression of elegance and refinement of Perrier-Jouet distinctive signature style" by Hervé Deschamps, only seventh Cellar Master since the foundation of the House in 1811.
"Perrier-Jouet is greatly honoured to have been chosen for the royal wedding," said Lionel Breton, Chairman and CEO of Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouet. "Having accompanied for many years the Monaco's Rose Ball and the Princess Grace Kelly, we are proud to be featured at the Prince Albert's marriage with our most prestigious champagne".
The foundation of the House of Champagne Perrier-Jouet in 1811 was itself born of a marriage between its founders Pierre Nicolas Perrier and Adele Jouet 200 years ago. An elegant and romantic champagne for a fairytale Royal wedding.
