Forte Research Systems Introduces Certification Program for the OnCore Product Suite

MADISON, Wis., Oct. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Forte Research Systems has introduced a certification program for organizations that use OnCore®, the company's market-leading product line of clinical and translational research management systems. By establishing experts at clinical research centers, the program is designed to ensure that all users institution-wide have the tools to utilize their system to its full capability and, thus, create more efficient processes for research.

OnCore Certified Trainer

Training is a critical issue for academic medical centers and cancer centers. Maintaining standardized, high-quality training programs over time for employees across an institution has proven a persistent challenge for sites. In addition to the training provided in the initial adoption and rollout of OnCore, the Certified Trainer program is an option designed to assist centers with their ongoing training needs by establishing expert trainers on site.

Using a "Train the Trainer" concept, organizations can designate trainers on staff who can complete the certification program and then share their expert knowledge with end users at their respective sites. To become certified, trainers will complete courses that are taught by Forte experts. Additionally, Certified Trainers will have access to training materials for use to conduct end-user training sessions in the future.

Trainers may become certified on one or more topics relating to the use of OnCore. This includes the OnCore Clinical Research Management system, (OnCore-CRM), OnCore for Biospecimen Management (OnCore-BSM), and OnCore for Unified Registries Management (OnCore-URM). If individuals become certified in all products, they will receive a special designation of OnCore MAESTRO.

Certification for Developers and Technology Administrators

In addition to certification for training of the OnCore system, Forte Research Systems has created a program for Developers and Technology Administrators.

Developers may become certified in three separate subjects related to OnCore: Custom Reporting, Data Migration, and Integration/Software Development Toolkit Usage. Among the benefits, the program will help developers create advanced custom reports for extracting data from OnCore, as well as gain a greater understanding of processes for data migration and realize opportunities for integration.

The program for Technology Administrators will certify individuals in all aspects related to maintaining and upgrading the OnCore environments, which will save institutions from incurring significant costs from outsourcing such support services.

"The Certification Program is yet another resource that we are offering to centers using OnCore to help make overall processes more efficient," said Srini Kalluri, Founder, President, CEO, and Chief Customer Experience Officer at Forte Research Systems. "The greater the understanding of the system throughout an institution, the more beneficial it can be for clinical research. Importantly, the program will also assist centers to reduce their compliance risk and uphold standard operating procedures."

Course Completion

Classes will be held once a month in Madison, Wisconsin. The course regimen includes a hands-on classroom-based approach to training, which is then followed by take-home, hands-on exercises. Once the hands-on exercises are completed, Forte Research Systems issues the certification and tracks it in the company's certification database.

Most classes are one day in duration. The cost per attendee per course varies.

A class schedule, along with pricing and registration information, can be found at the company's website www.forteresearch.com.
