Guide informs architects, engineers, construction personnel and AEC regulatory bodies on the uses and benefits of digital signature technology
ARX (Algorithmic Research), a leading provider of digital signature solutions, has co-chaired the authoring committee for a long-awaited strategy guide on the deployment of digital signatures and digital seals, which was recently released by Fiatech. The committee included members from The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Target Corporation, among others.
Entitled "A Practical Deployment Strategy for Digital Signatures and Seals in Fully Electronic AEC Processes," the guide calls for architecture, engineering, and construction firms to "wake up." "As you emerge from a rough economic slumber, new industry-wide efforts set ambitious goals to streamline business processes, increase operational efficiency and adopt innovative technologies." The guide aims to provide an in-depth explanation on the various ways digital signatures can complement and enhance AEC processes, and offer a practical strategy plan for AEC firms seeking to deploy digital signature and digital seal technology.
"This practical deployment strategy is not just a how-to. It contains a wealth of background information to support a complete understanding of digital signature and digital seal technology. Digital signature technology has been tested, vetted, and celebrated in other complex and highly-regulated industries such as Life Sciences. Proactive AEC firms have already been using digital signature technology for years to sign and seal engineering drawings and other documents. It's time for the entire industry to move in this direction," said Marla Schuchman, AEC Marketing Manager, ARX, who co-chaired the committee along with Kevin Rikley of Hatch Ltd.
