Honeywell Humanitarian Relief Fund to Provide Aid to Local Employees Affected by Colorado Wildfires

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., July 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Honeywell (NYSE: HON) today announced the Honeywell Humanitarian Relief Fund (HHRF) has been deployed to support nearly 100 employees who have been affected by the devastating wildfires in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"We have been grateful to learn that our employees in the area are safe, but there is an immediate need for assistance to help our colleagues who have been displaced," said Eric Doremus, Honeywell Technology Solutions Inc. (HTSI) Program Director. "We are quickly mobilizing efforts to deploy immediate financial assistance to our local employees who need it most during this difficult time."

Honeywell plans to contribute monies through the HHRF and will also match employee donations dollar-for-dollar to support the relief efforts. Support will initially include immediate cash assistance for food, clothing, and shelter to employees who have been temporarily displaced. The fund will then help with longer-term needs once the extent of the damage has been assessed and local efforts turn from fire fighting to rebuilding.

Honeywell employees affected by the disaster support the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) mission operated byHTSI. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Honeywell, HTSI provides a range of services for government customers in management, space systems and services, networks and field engineering, Department of Defense logistics, depot maintenance, staff augmentation, calibration, information technology, and cyber security.

The HHRF is part of Honeywell Hometown Solutions, the company's corporate citizenship initiative, which plays a vital role in bringing critical and timely assistance to employees and their families. The fund creates a channel for corporate contributions and 100% of employees' donations to go directly to the people who need help rebuilding their lives as they cope with the destruction from fires, hurricanes, tsunamis, flooding, and earthquakes.

"Honeywell is committed to helping rebuild the lives of our employees affected by the Colorado wildfires," said Tom Buckmaster, President of Honeywell Hometown Solutions. "By partnering with our employees and deploying the HHRF, Honeywell will play a critical role in bringing rapid relief to our colleagues displaced by the fires and will stay closely involved to help them as they begin the long recovery process."

Through the HHRF, the company and thousands of Honeywell employees have responded with donations and long-term rebuilding efforts for other tragedies in recent years, such as the tsunami in Japan, the earthquake in Haiti, tornadoes in North Carolina, hurricanes Ike and Katrina, and the earthquake in China.

Zeitenwende!
