Petra Weishaupt-Smith has more than two decades of financial experience with software and internet technology companies. She joined most recently from Digitalsmiths Corporation, a video discovery technology company, where she served as COO and CFO. Prior to that position, she served as CFO for A4 Health Systems, an electronic medical records software company.

Daniel Wideman joins KnowledgeTree as VP of products. He brings 14 years of experience in product development and product management for both early-growth and well-established technology companies. At Lulu.com, he ran product management for a $40 million business serving 1.5 million customers across 180 countries. He was also responsible for launching Lulu's new ecommerce and open publishing platforms. Previously, he was director of Information Architecture at Relativity Technologies. He's also a widely published author across many genres that began his IT career in information development.

The third new hire is VP of sales for the Americas, Steve Balk. His wealth of expertise in successful sales management, combined with deep experience in data integration, revenue generation and customer retention, will help KnowledgeTree remain a dominant enterprise solution provider in the cloud. He served as vice president of sales at Innovative Systems, DataFlux and Hummingbird, where his leadership played a prominent role in achieving significant year-over-year revenue gains.

"KnowledgeTree continues to build out our top-notch core management team. The new hires will serve as key leaders as customer adoption accelerates," said Daniel Chalef, chief executive officer of KnowledgeTree. "It is a testament to the strength of our market opportunity that these seasoned professionals have joined KnowledgeTree."

KnowledgeTree will continue to hire additional team members through the end of the year and into 2013, tapping the wealth of technology professionals in Raleigh's Research Triangle. The company is growing in the sales, marketing and engineering departments. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply to KnowledgeTree via its careers website.

Zeitenwende!
