Wowza announced the new integration today at Streaming Media West, one of the world's premiere streaming media events, happening now through Wednesday in Huntington Beach, California.
Intel Media SDK 2013 for Servers, which debuted in beta form at the NAB Show® in April, now optimizes data center and embedded media applications to utilize Intel HD graphics hardware acceleration on both Windows® and Linux® operating systems. Wowza Transcoder AddOn, which adds transcoding and transrating features to Wowza Media Server®, supported previous versions of the Intel Media SDK for Clients using the Windows operating system, and now brings the power of Intel Media SDK hardware acceleration to Linux servers.
