(NASDAQ: MAR) has expanded its partnership with MICROS by selecting the cloud-based MICROS Simphony' Enterprise Solution for its food and beverage operations for its Marriott brands in the United States and Canada. The MICROS Simphony Enterprise Solution will be hosted ina MICROS Data Center. The deployment, which includes MICROS workstations and mobile devices, will substantially conclude by the end of 2014.
MICROS Simphony is a highly flexible and scalable enterprise point-of-sale system, which allows quick deployment to thousands of MICROS devices across all Marriott US & Canada properties. Once deployment is complete, Marriott International will be able to centrally manage the entire system from within a single application ensuring menu item standardization, reducing redundancy, and maintaining configuration consistency. By moving the solution above property, Marriott shrinks the overall IT footprint required at each location.
