NEW YORK, Sept 16 (Reuters) - ConocoPhillips on Wednesday reported a Tuesday process upset in the gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracker unit at its 146,000-barrel-per-day Borger, Texas, oil refinery.
'Unit 29 FCCU experienced a process upset that resulted in excess opacity,' Conoco said in a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
'There were three, six-minute periods of high opacity during the process upset,' it said, adding an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the upset.
Conoco officials were not immediately reachable for comment.
