NEW YORK, Sept 16 (Reuters) - Nippon Life Insurance Co is investing $500 million in a Prudential Financial Inc unit, the U.S.-based insurer said on Wednesday.
Nippon Life, a mutually owned insurer, will buy a $500 million exchangeable note issued by a Prudential subsidiary.
The transaction is expected to close on Sept. 18.
