TORONTO, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Valero Energy Corp is currently planning scheduled maintenance on its 82,000 barrel-per-day fluid catalytic cracking unit at its 210,000 bpd Delaware City refinery in November, said a source familiar with refinery operations.
The work on the gasoline-making unit was rescheduled to begin in late November or early December from the first quarter of 2010.
The coker and gasifier at the refinery are in the process of shutting down because of poor profit margins and the higher-than-anticipated cost of heavy crude oil.
