WASHINGTON, Oct 8 (Reuters) - A trade panel which can bar the importation of infringing products said on Thursday it will review a ruling that Mitsubishi infringed on General Electric Co patents to make wind turbines.
An administrative law judge with the International Trade Commission had ruled in August that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd and Mitsubishi Power Systems had infringed two patents to make the turbines.
The turbines, which are essentially high tech windmills, convert wind into electricity that can be channeled to the electrical grid.
General Electric has asked the commission to keep Mitsubishi's wind turbines off the U.S. market.
