Oct 22 (Reuters) - Casino-game maker Bally Technologies Inc said a federal court ruled in its favor in a patent lawsuit filed by slot machine maker International Game Technology related to Bally's wheel and iVIEW products.
The U.S. court of appeals for the federal circuit affirmed a Nevada federal district court's decision in favor of Bally in the case filed by IGT in 2006, seeking monetary damages and an injunction, Bally said in a statement.
The lower court ruled that certain of Bally's wheel game and iVIEW products do not infringe IGT's patents, it added.
The appeal court's decision disposes of IGT's entire case against Bally, leaving only Bally's antitrust claims against IGT for trial, Las Vegas-based Bally said.
Shares of Bally were trading up 5 percent at $44.05 Thursday late afternoon on the New York Stock Exchange. IGT shares were almost flat at $21.41.
