TOKYO, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei average rose 0.3 percent on Thursday, with Honda Motor Co jumping after it lifted annual guidance far beyond market expectations, but Toyota Motor slid on the fallout from its massive recall.

The benchmark Nikkei added 29.70 points to 10,434.03, after rising 0.3 percent the previous day.

The broader Topix rose 0.2 percent to 917.22.
