HONG KONG, Feb 5 (Reuters) - By 0214 GMT, the benchmark Hang
Seng Index had fallen 2.86 percent to 19,760.26, the
lowest level in five months.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks was down 3.5 percent at 11,199.55.
Here are some of the stocks on the move:
* Esprit retreated 6.6 percent. The former chairman of the world's No.7 fashion retailer sold shares worth $385 million. The stock was also weighed down by concern about Europe, the company's biggest market overseas.
* Chinese PC maker Lenovo Group fell 6.2 percent despite posting a forecast-beating profit for the last quarter of 2009.
* HSBC was down 3.6 percent. A senior U.S. senator said he planned to refer HSBC Holdings to the U.S. bank regulator in connection with questionable accounts it provided for senior Angolan officials.
* Metals counters extended their slide after gold prices fell to three-month lows on Thursday. Gold miners Zijing Mining eased 6 percent and Realgold Mining was 7 percent lower.
Chalco fell 5.7 percent and Angang Steel dropped 4.4 percent.
* Debutant China SCE Property fell to HK$2.54 versus its IPO price of HK$2.60.
