LONDON (AFX) - Aerospace and defence manufacturer Smiths Group PLC said it had won a 9 mln usd contract to supply navigational equipment to the US marines.
Smiths said Raytheon Company had chosen its aerospace division to provide more than 400 North Finding Modules for the US Marine Corp (USMC) Light Armored Vehicle (LAV-25).
Smiths said deliveries from its factory in Michigan had already begun.
The modules are being supplied as part of Raytheon's Improved Thermal Sighting System (ITSS) being fitted on the LAV-25 as part of a project to extend the life of the vehicle. philip.waller@afxnews.com paw/nes COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005.
