PARIS (AFX) - France Telecom's Polish unit TPSA has been fined 100 mln zlotys, or 25 mln eur, by the country's telecommunications regulator after the company was accused of unfair selling practices.
The UKE electronics communications office said TPSA was not allowed to oblige clients to buy both internet access and telephone services, and has ordered the operator to offer separate subscriptions for the two services.
A TPSA official in charge of the matter, Grazyna Piotrowska-Oliwa, told Agence France-Presse that the company will appeal the ruling.
'The court will decide. We will not pay this fine until we have exhausted all possibilities for an appeal,' she said. paris@afxnews.com afp/js/abr COPYRIGHT Copyright AFX News Limited 2005.
