PARIS (Thomson Financial) - Talks between France Telecom and Apple over distribution of Apple's iPhone in France remain difficult, and France Telecom will announce in the next few days whether or not it will remain the exclusive distributor, the newspaper Journal du Dimanche said, citing a France Telecom manager.
The French company earlier said it had already won exclusive distribution rights, but late last month the magazine Challenges reported that a dispute had emerged between Apple and France Telecom's mobile phone unit, Orange, over commission payments for the iPhone that could jeopardize the product's planned French launch before Christmas. tfn.paris@thomson.com mjs/vlb COPYRIGHT Copyright Thomson Financial News Limited 2007.
