Major gainers:
-Ferrovial, up 0.55 at 60.25, after solid nine-month results, with dealers expressing relief at the absence of any negative surprises.
-Banks, with Santander up 0.19 at 14.57, BBVA up 0.32 at 17.04 and Popular 0.12 higher at 11.85, on relief after UBS confirmed third-quarter guidance and quashed speculation in weekend press it may face further sub-prime related writedowns.
-Sacyr, up 1.11 eur, or 3.57 pct, at 32.24, extending last week's gains amid hopes that the group will eventually decide to divest its Eiffage stake to help refinance debt.
-Gas Natural, up 0.84 at 43.15, after a report in ElConfidencial that the acquisition of EDF's Mexican assets is based on a potential alliance with the French group following the deterioration in relations with Suez.
Major losers:
-Acerinox, down 0.39 at 20.53 after Goldman Sachs cut its target price to 15.6 eur from 16.3 and reiterated its 'sell' recommendation.
-Solaria, down 0.61, or 2.92 pct, at 20.29, after Cbeuvreux downgraded the stock to 'underperform' from 'outperform' with a 20.4 eur price target.
