NEW YORK (Thomson Financial) - Xerox Corp. Monday has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 18% since 2002, exceeding its goal of a 10% reduction by 2012.
The Norwalk, Conn.-based photocopying company said it is boosting its goal for a 25% decrease by 2012.
Xerox said its moves to reduce emission had saved it $18 million in 2006.
The company said it reduced the emissions by reducing energy consumption, electricity use, and cutting natural gas purchases by 27%.
