LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Autonomy Corp, the UK business software company, reported a 64 pct rise in fourth-quarter profits and said it had not seen any recent deterioration in trading despite the credit crisis and economic uncertainty.
The Cambridge-based company, which makes software that helps large companies store vast amounts of data electronically, such as e-mail and voice mail, said adjusted pretax profit for fourth quarter to Dec 31 was 41.3 mln usd on revenue up 56 pct to 115.1 mln.
The average analysts' forecast was for pretax profit of 40 mln usd on revenue of 114 mln.
