ATHENS (Thomson Financial) - Greek CPI for June was up 4.9 percent year-on-year, the same as in May, the National Statistical Service said.
The results fell short of economists' expectations.
A Thomson Financial News poll of leading local economists last week predicted the rate would come in between 5 percent and 5.2 percent.
NSS said the European harmonized index of consumer prices for June was also up 4.9 percent year on year, compared to a 2.6 percent rise a year earlier.
