MUMBAI, Feb 6 (Reuters) - India's Reliance Industries , which is soon to start producing gas from a deep-sea block off India's east coast, will take delivery of three drillships from Transocean, the driller's website said.
Transocean said in it would, through a joint venuture, deliver two ultra-deep drillships to Reliance. The first would arrive in the third quarter of 2009 and the second in the second quarter of 2010.
The dayrates would be $495,000 for the first six months and then $510,000 for the remainder of the contract, the website showed in a report that was dated Jan. 12. http://www.deepwater.com/_filelib/FileCabinet/fleetupdate/2009/R

The third contact, which was extendable to seven or 10 years, was for an enhanced Enterprise-class drillship with operations due to commence in the fourth quarter of 2010. Dayrates would be $537,000 for the first six months, and then rise to $557,000 for the next 4-½ years, the website said.
Reliance started pumping oil from a block off the India's east coast last September, marking the country's first production of crude from a deepwater block.
Last week, petroleum secretary R. S. Pandey said Reliance would start pumping natural gas from its deep-sea field in the Krishna Godavari basin in the first week of March.
