CPS wins £1 million contract from leading US producer of PVC
Clyde Process Solutions plc (AIM: CPSP), a provider of customer-driven,
material handling solutions for process industries, announces that it has been
awarded approximately £1 million of orders by the US's leading producer of
polyvinyl chloride (PVC).
CPS's operating subsidiary, MAC Equipment Inc ("MAC"), has secured 4 separate
orders for a total value of approximately £1 million and will provide this
customer with pneumatic conveying, air filtration and process control systems.
These systems will be installed as part of the customer's petrochemical plant
extension project.
The largest of the four orders secured by MAC comprises of two separate
pneumatic conveying solutions, which will transfer PVC resin from railcars to
storage silos within their production facility. A process control package will
be supplied to monitor and control these systems in addition to an air
filtration package used to collect fines from the process.
MAC's extensive range of material handling solutions has provided this customer
with a single source of supply for the transportation of PVC resin within their
extended plant.
Commenting on this new order, Alex Stewart, Chief Executive of Clyde Process
Solutions plc said: "We are pleased to secure further solid contracts for the
Group, which are in line with management expectations. Our diversification
across key customer markets and geographical territories is a strong asset in
these challenging trading conditions. Recent announcements highlighting
contract wins within the food, metal and now petrochemical markets are a
testament to this strength.
"We continue to focus on supporting our key customer markets with energy
efficient, environmentally beneficial solutions and anticipate that the
petrochemical market will become a growing market for our technologies in the
year ahead."
