Prime Minister Ivo Sanader proposed a reform of the pension system saying that the 'second pillar' of savings for retirement, comprising private funds handled by the mandatory pension funds, may pay off better if they were transferred to the state-owned pension fund.
INGRA TO BUILD HOSPITALS IN IRAQ
Croatian construction firm Ingra and the Iraqi health ministry have signed a protocol on cooperation in health projects, based on which it will build four hospitals worth altogether 500 million euros.

Croatian wood processing industry used to export 70 percent of its products, but January figures say the export fell as much as 40 percent compared to the same month in 2008.
