AIG to speed up IPO for Asian unit
Insurance company American International Group is to speed up plans to list its Asian unit through an IPO that could raise more than $4 billion.
The IPO would help AIG repay some of the $180 billion the U.S. government has plow into what was once the world's biggest insurer, and allow the profitable Asia life insurance subsidiary, American International Assurance Co Ltd (AIA), to break from its ailing parent.
Shares of AIG rose 2.9 percent to $1.77 in premarket trading.

Onyx sues Bayer over rights to compound
Onyx Pharmaceuticals Inc said on Sunday it sued Bayer AG over its rights to an anti-cancer compound that it says it discovered during joint research with the German drugmaker.
In an e-mail statement, Bayer said it believed Onyx 'has no right to the substance.'
