Las Vegas Sands considering HK IPO to raise funds
Las Vegas Sands, the world's largest casino firm, is looking to raise money and is considering several options, including an IPO of its Macau assets in Hong Kong, Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson said on Wednesday.
'We are looking at a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing, among 5 or 6 options,' Adelson told Reuters Insider TV in an interview in Singapore, adding that the firm hopes to get a total of $3-4 billion through various fund raising initiatives.

Crude oil falls on recovery concerns
August crude futures fell on Wednesday, dropping for the sixth consecutive day as doubts grew about the strength of the global economy.

U.S. mortgage applications climb from
7
month low
Demand for U.S. mortgages to buy homes and refinance loans bounced from seven-month lows last week, with average 30-year borrowing rates unchanged, the Mortgage Bankers Association said on Wednesday.
The industry group's total loan applications index rose a seasonally adjusted 10.9 percent to 493.1 in the week ended July 3, after slumping the prior week to the lowest level since November.

Google to launch PC operating system
Google Inc is planning to launch a personal computer operating system in the second half of 2010, a move that could be seen as a direct attack on Microsoft's Windows operating system.
The system will initially be targeted at netbook computers.
