STOCKHOLM, Oct 3 (Reuters) - Irish voters' approval of the European Union's Lisbon reform treaty is an important victory for Ireland and Europe and will help give Europe a stronger voice, Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said on Saturday.
Bildt, whose country holds the EU presidency, wrote in a blog that it was just a matter of time until the 27-country bloc 'finally can push the button for the better European cooperation that the Lisbon treaty will give us'.
'It is an important victory for Ireland and for all of Europe,' he wrote after Irish government officials declared victory in Friday's referendum and the opposition Libertas group conceded defeat.
