Swiss stocks - Factors to watch on Nov 24

ZURICH, Nov 24 (Reuters) - Swiss shares were seen opening lower on Tuesday, in line with other European markets and following losses in Asia, as investors look to lock in some of the previous session's strong gains.

The blue chip SMI index was expected to open 30 points lower at 6,381 points, according to pre-market data from bank Clariden Leu.

The following are some of the main factors expected to affect Swiss stocks on Tuesday:



PETROPLUS

Petroplus Holding AG, Europe's largest independent oil refiner, said it would combine the roles of chief commercial officer and chief operating officer in a drive to improve refining margins.

ECONOMY

* The UBS consumption index for November edged up to 0.87 from 0.67 the previous month, indicating a modest year-on-year rise in consumption, the Swiss bank said on Tuesday, but is still languishing below the index's long-term average of 1.5.

* Third-quarter non-farm payrolls data due 0815 GMT
