Wells Fargo upgrades Prudential to 'outperform'

Wells Fargo Securities on Tuesday upgraded Prudential Financial Inc to 'outperform' from 'market perform,' saying the company was in a superior competitive position relative to its peers.

The firm also wrote that the insurance company was better able to exploit merger and acquisition opportunities.
