WARSAW, Jan 28 (Reuters) - Poland will meet the inflation criterion for joining the euro zone in 2010 and in 2011, the central bank's governor Slawomir Skrzypek told TVN CNBC in an interview aired on Thursday.
'As far as the inflation criterion is concerned, I believe we will meet it already in 2010 and in 2011,' Skrzypek said. Poland does not meet the criterion at present.
A country wanting to adopt the common currency must prove it can sustainably keep inflation at no more than 1.5 percentage points above the average of the three lowest inflation rates in the now 27-nation European Union.
