Investec launches A$300 mln 2015 govt-backed bond

SYDNEY, March 16 (Reuters) - Investec Bank (Australia), a unit of investment bank and asset manager Investec , has launched A$300 million ($274.5 million) of five-year bonds backed by an Australian government guarantee, a joint lead said on Tuesday.

Price guidance was set at 40 basis points over BBSW. Pricing is expected later on Tuesday. The bonds mature on March 23, 2015.

Joint leads are ANZ, RBS and UBS.

Investec is part of the Investec group, which operates in South Africa, the UK and Australia.
