NEW YORK, March 25 (Reuters) - Ambac Financial Group Inc shares dropped 14.1 percent to 68 cents a share in premarket trading on Thursday after the troubled U.S. bond insurer said it was open to seeking a negotiated restructuring of its debt through a pre-packaged bankruptcy proceeding.
