NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) - BP Plc planned maintenance on a gasoline-making fluid catalytic cracker at its 417,000 barrel-per-day Texas City, Texas, refinery, starting on Friday, according to a company environmental filing.
'Unit will perform maintenance associated with a vessel,' BP added in the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
It was not clear how long the work would last but the filing said that associated emissions were seen lasting through Saturday afternoon.
'The maintenance work plan will be followed, which includes steps to minimize emissions,' the filing added.
Company officials were not immediately reachable for comment.
