NEW YORK, June 2 (Reuters) - Citigroup Inc's Citi Private Bank on Wednesday poached two private bankers from Bank of America Corp's U.S. Trust as part of the continued expansion of its San Francisco-area business.
Citigroup said Mark Immel, a 20-year veteran of U.S. Trust and JPMorgan Private Bank, will join as a managing director and Sandra Penner as a director. Penner, a private client manager in Walnut Creek, California, joined U.S. Trust in 2004 and spent 11 years at Bank of America after previous high-net worth stints at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank/ Alex. Brown.
