TOKYO, June 14 (Reuters) - The benchmark Nikkei average rose 1.7 percent and the broader Topix gained 1.3 percent on Monday.
The following stocks were on the move:
**BLUE-CHIP EXPORTERS GAIN, HELPED BY WEAKER YEN VS EURO**
Shares of blue-chip exporters gained, helped by a weaker yen against the euro, and buoyed the broader market.
Sony Corp jumped 2.9 percent to 2,646 yen, while Canon Inc rose 1.4 percent to 3,765 yen and TDK Corp added 2.3 percent to 5,330 yen.
Toyota Motor Corp rose 1.1 percent to 3,250 yen and Honda Motor Co climbed 3.2 percent to 2,690 yen.
Workers at a factory making locks for Honda cars in China remained on strike on Sunday, two workers said, although Honda said the dispute had been resolved and production had resumed.
In early Asia trade, the euro rose 0.5 percent to around 111.80 yen.
Many Japanese exporters have set their currency assumption rates for the euro around 120-125 yen for the year to March, and investors fret about a stronger yen as it eats into exporters' profits when repatriated.

**CHIP-LINKED STOCKS UP AFTER U.S. PEERS GAIN ON DEMAND HOPES**
Chip-linked shares rose after National Semiconductor Corp forecast margins and revenues above Wall Street estimates, signalling that demand is bouncing back after an horrendous 2009 for the microchip industry, and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 1.4 percent.
Chip-tester maker Advantest Corp gained 2.3 percent to 1,979 yen and Tokyo Electron Ltd added 1.3 percent to 5,630 yen. Chip stepper maker Nikon Corp climbed 2.3 percent to 1,660 yen.
