DEUTSCHE BANK
Deutsche Bank said it hired banker Dean Keller, previously at Entergy Corp, as a managing director in its natural resources group. At Entergy, he was chief financial officer of its Enexus business.
CITIGROUP
Citi Private Bank hired Nancy Pellegrino as a managing director and head of the Pacific Northwest. Pellegrino joined Citi from a similar role at Bank of New York Mellon's wealth management unit.
U.S. Trust
Bank of America Corp's private banking unit said it hired five bankers and plans to hire a total of 24 this week. The latest hires are Lawrence Greenberg, Nancy Golder and Bob Dunkin, who will be based in Palm Beach, and Jesse Perrin, based in Boca Raton, and Kim Bleach, who joins the Sarasota office.
SIDLEY AUSTIN
The law firm said it added three partners to its labor and employment practice in Los Angeles. The partners are Douglas Hart, Jennifer Zargarof and Geoffrey DeBoskey.
UK FINANCIAL INVESTMENTS (UKFI)
The body that manages Britain's stake in its bailed out banks said it hired a former Merrill Lynch & Co banker to oversee the eventual sale of key holdings.
Jim O'Neil, from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will head up the group's market investments division, with responsibility for managing UKFI's stakes in Lloyds and Royal Bank of Scotland.
JPMORGAN
The investment firm appointed Luc Bachy as senior capital adviser for its private banking team in France. Bachy, who will be based in Paris, was earlier with HSBC Investment Banking.
JEFFERIES GROUP INC
The group's unit, Jefferies & Company Inc, appointed Richard Taylor as head of international equity research in London and Robert Fagin as co-director of US equity research in New York.
Taylor earlier worked with Citigroup as managing director and head of European equity research and Fagin previously worked as associate director of equity research at Banc of America Securities.
The bank also reported it added five people to its international equity sales team in the United States. The hires are Scott Ackerman, who joins as an international equity sales trader, and Richard Harb, Martyn Bergh, Jerry Bellman and Paul LoGiudice who all join as European equity research salesmen. Ackerman is based in New York, Harb and LoGiudice are in Boston and Bellman and Bergh are based in San Francisco.
Jefferies also said on Monday it hired Paul Sandoli, previously at Bear Stearns Cos, as a managing director and head of its ratings advisory group.
CITIGROUP
The global financial services company named Paul Andersson as Pan-Asian head of equity derivative and convertible sales within Citi's markets business. He will be based in Hong Kong.
BARING ASSET MANAGEMENT
The international investment firm named Jim Chen as investment manager in the Hong Kong China equities team effective immediately. Chen, who joins from Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management, Hong Kong, will be based in Hong Kong.
MIRAE ASSET GLOBAL INVESTMENTS
The Asian asset management company named Kenho Kim managing director of the company's European business, Mirae Asset Global Investments UK Limited. Kenho, who will be based in London, joined Mirae Asset in 2007. He had earlier worked with Korea's National Pension Service.
GRANT THORTON UK LLP
The financial and business adviser appointed Dominic Bolton to lead its corporate finance media and entertainment division.
FINISTERRE CAPITAL
The emerging markets fund manager named Toby Triebel as credit analyst of its research division. Triebel joins from London-based Alix Partners and has previously worked with Goldman Sachs.
ABN AMRO Private Banking, Asia
The banker appointed Phyllis Fong as regional head of business development, succeeding Peeter Christ Hart, who will be relocating to Nice to assume the role of head of world citizen services for the company.
