* Asian stocks are set to jump on Friday as a raft of robust earnings reports from U.S. heavyweight companies cheered investors and improved the appetite for risk.
* Indonesia's stock index fell 0.12 percent on Thursday with Bintang Mitra led losses, down 20 percent, and Tirta Mahakam led gains, up 33.33 percent. * Earnings from economic bellwethers 3M, UPS and Caterpillar catapulted U.S. stocks on Thursday as investors shed some of their fears about the strength of the recovery.
* Oil jumped more than 3 percent to a 11-week high above $79 a barrel on Thursday as a potential tropical storm threatened energy installations in the Gulf of Mexico and strong earnings boosted investor sentiment.
