SANTIAGO, Aug 3 (Reuters) - Chile's state miner Codelco , the world's top copper producer, said on Tuesday China's plan to bring electricity to rural areas would demand one million tonnes of copper in the next two and a half years.
China is the world's top consumer of the metal used in everything from electricity lines to water pipes.
